Every parent deserves respect and equality - and every child deserves and needs to have their family accepted and celebrated. Rainbow Families is proud to speak up for LGBTQ+ parents and their kids so we can all enjoy the same level of inclusion, legal protections and rights as other families. That has included actively engaging in major equality campaigns including Marriage Equality, freedom from discrimination and equality in Family Law.
We make sure our community is heard when political or media conversations do not include LGBTQ+ parents and their children. We support our community with resources, events, research and information that helps gay dads, lesbian mums, bi, trans, gender diverse and queer parents to feel seen, heard and valued. Our equality work makes a difference, and together we are making a more inclusive, diverse and fabulous Australia.
